The Art Institute of Seattle

Brought into being in 1946 as the Burnley School for Professional Art, The Art Institute of Seattle holds in its nest a glorious history as a component of the Seattle society and a high-flying contributor to the creative industry in the Northwest America. The Burnley School joined The Art Institutes system of schools in 1982, and became The Art Institute of Seattle.
The Art Institute of Seattle is located at 2323, Elliott Avenue, Seattle, Washington, in a number of buildings near the Elliott Bay waterfront in the Belltown district of Downtown Seattle. Hence its campus is divide into – South Campus, North Campus, IDT Shop and a couple of student housings
The Art Institute of Seattle is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The Associate of Applied Arts in Culinary Arts degree course is recognized by The Accrediting Commission of the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.

Admission process at The Art Institute of Seattle includes following steps:-
1. Admissions Interview (in person or over the phone).
2. Submission of a completed application form.
3. A written paragraph test of approximately 150 words.
4. Checking of high school transcript or GED scores.
5. Checking of Test scores (SAT, ACT). Transfer credit are also accepted in place of test scores
6. Submission of (non-refundable) Application Fee.
7. Submission of 100 enrollment fee.
The Art Institute of Seattle is also having an educational dining lab for culinary arts students, which is well-known as ‘Portfolio Restaurant’. The Restaurant is positioned at the institute‘s North Campus. The Restaurant is open to the public and it offers a stunning view of Elliott Bay.
