Establishing Water Service (When Home is Currently on Well)

The step-by-step process (as shown below) applies to homeowners that are currently on a private well, but would like to establish a public water service.

Step 1: Establish a service contract with the City of Griffin Water Department

Step 2: Fill out all required SCWA documents

Step 3: Bring all required SCWA documents and a copy of your City of Griffin Service Contract to SCWA Office and remit payment. All documents must be delivered to SCWA Office.

Step 4: Once your application is processed, our team will schedule the installation of your new water meter, providing you with access to clean, safe water.

Note: Your new meter will be locked pending an approved inspection of your new water service line from the County Building Inspector. For more information on this process, contact the Community Development Office-Building Permits Department at (770) 467-4219.
